Born from a need for community, BLANK is an absurdist exploration of relationships, centered around five friends in a cottage, navigating who they are, what they want, and the games they choose to play. Written by EJD and devised by the HBO team, the play unfolds as the characters blur the lines between game and life. Unpredictable and ever-shifting, play becomes a way to cope with loss or fight for the thrill of it. Since its inception in Fall 2023, BLANK has been a central project for HBO.
